Hi, thanks for stopping by! We are Willy and Jessee Bustinza, a general surgeon and pediatrician team who are passionate about engaging others to participate in medical missions. We originally met as missionary kids in the Andes Mountains of Peru at at ages of 3 and 5. To read more about our childhood on the mission field click here. We felt God’s call to medical missions in our teen years and were married in 2006. After completing our medical training in Oklahoma, we welcomed our first daughter Lucy in 2017.
From 2018-2021, our family served at Hospital Misión Tarahumara in the remote Copper Canyon of Mexico. The region is home to the Tarahumara indigenous community, a group of approximately 100,000 people who are virtually unreached by the Gospel. During that time, we saw many lives impacted through the child malnutrition program, medical outreaches and distribution of MP3 players with recorded Bible materials. Baby Caroline joined our family in 2019, and she quickly joined her sister in helping feed local chickens and visiting hospital patients.
In June 2021, we moved back to the United States to welcome our third daughter, Emily Joy. We are now based in Florida and continue to speak on global health and travel on a short-term basis.
